Village resident honored at 40th Birthday celebration

On Saturday, July 23, Babylon Village resident Mark Westcott was honored on the occasion of his 40th birthday. About 80 close friends and relatives gathered at the home of Theresa Santmann for a "Caribbean Night Under The Stars." Guests dined and danced under white tents set up on the lawn overlooking Carll’s River as a Reggae band played Caribbean music complete with a steel drum.

Guests who came to wish Mark Happy Birthday included childhood friends from the North Shore of Long Island as well as many Babylon Lions and their wives. The party hosted by Mark’s wife, Georgia Westcott, raised over $2,000 for the National Parkinson’s Foundation as guests were asked to make donations in lieu of gifts. During the evening the Westcott’s acknowledged Theresa Santmann for her hospitality by presenting her with a special tree to be planted on the property in honor of the event.
