Sumpwams Garden Club News

The July 11 meeting of the Sumpwams Garden Club was held in the garden of Elizabeth Karoly’s home. Members were treated to a program of planning and planting a Tea and Cookies Garden by Carolyn Kuntz Zambraski, a recognized Ortho gardening professional.

The August 8 meeting was held at the W.I. Library in the new community room. Awards for 2004/2005 were presented including: Alida Dorr bowl; Gloria Borish; Bader bowl, Ethel Michel; the Arink bowl for horticulture, Antoinette Maiorini who also won the Arink design bowl. The program for the day was Seaside Plants and Container Gardening in Sun and Shade by Karl Auwaeter from the Bayport Flower House. The meeting was very well attended and the club has welcomed two new members.
