National Hispanic recognition for
two Bay Shore students
Saryta Rodriguez and Adriana Sandoval, two Bay Shore High School seniors, have been recognized by the College Board’s National Hispanic Recognition Program. The National Hispanic Recognition Program is a College Board program that provides national recognition of the exceptional academic achievements of Hispanic high school seniors and identifies them for post secondary institutions.
Rodriguez, a National Merit Commended student, is enrolled in numerous Advanced Placement courses and finds time for extra-curricular activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a volunteer at community events, a talented member of the orchestra and a member of the Mock Trial Team. In addition, Rodriguez enjoys her involvement with the Thespian Troupe, the Leadership retreat and her many hours helping the Summit Council and its committees.
Sandoval, a recipient of the Holy Cross Book Award, is a College Board recognized AP Scholar. She involves herself in the National Honor Society, the National Student Leadership Conference, Law Day and the Varsity Track Team. Her boundless energy enables her to participate in the Student Council, the French Club, Moot Court and Bay Shore’s orchestra. Sandoval enjoys writing and participates in the Poetry Slam and Ethnic Pen.
