Long Island Yacht Club kicks off the holiday season

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Island Yacht Club kicked off the holiday season with its annual Holiday Decorating party. Outside Mother Nature contributed to the atmosphere with the first snowstorm of the year. Inside fireplaces roared, holiday music played and everyone had a good time preparing the Georgian mansion for the upcoming events. On Saturday, December 13, more than 50 children will attend the children's holiday party. A professional magician will entertain the children, and a special visit from Santa is expected. Sunday, December 14, their parents and grandparents will celebrate with an L.A. party, general membership meeting and buffet. The year 2003 will come to a grand finale with a black tie New Year's Eve Dinner Dance.
