Babylon Beach Blast set for Saturday

Supervisor Steve Bellone invites all town residents to the annual Beach Blast, Saturday, August 24 at Overlook Beach. The festivities include live music, rides, relay races, games and more. Once again, Edy’s Ice Cream of Lindenhurst will host the annual ice cream eating contest for those children three to 12 years of age. "This is our way of celebrating another great summer in the Town of Babylon" explains Bellone.

The event kicks off at 3 p.m. with music by a steel drum band followed by a classic rock show by Full House. The night culminates with a fireworks show by Bay Fireworks. The event is free to those town residents with their recreation parking permit, all other residents may park at Cedar Beach for $10. ‘What better way to end the summer than a day of fun and fireworks" said Bellone.
