Town of Islip summer employment available

Islip Town Supervisor Pete McGowan has announced that summer employment opportunities for residents 16 years of age and older are available throughout the Town’s departments. Positions may be found as seasonal clerks, clerk typists, kennel aides, recreation aides, laborers, custodians, beach attendants, cashiers and more.

"Summer employment with the Town of Islip gives young people the opportunity to experience the responsibilities of a job, as well as offers Town employees the chance to work with fresh faces, said Supervisor McGowan. "All in all, It’s beneficial to everyone."

Interested individuals may pick up an employment application at Town Hall, 655 Main St., Islip in the personnel department. Disabled residents wishing employment with the Town may contact the Division of Services to the Disabled at 631-224-5335 (voice) or 631-224-5397 (TDD).
