Walk the Walk at Belmonst Lake
On May 19, the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America is challenging the people of Long Island - family, friends, schools, corporations and individuals - to "talk the talk" about Walk the Walk for Organ and Tissue Donation. The Walk, scheduled for 11 a.m. at Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon, is a two-mile stroll around the Lake to raise funds for the more than 76,000 Americans - approximately 1,034 of whom are from Long Island - in need of a life-saving organ transplant or tissue donation.
