Deer Park HS's Ann Razzano's receives award
Ann Razzano, K-12 Director of Mathematics at Deer Park High School, will receive an award for Educational Leadership from the Goudreau Museum of Mathematics for her outstanding contributions to the field. Ms. Razzano, who is also the President of the Suffolk County Mathematics Teachers Association, will receive this prestigious award at the Goudreau Museum Awards Dinner. Ms. Razzano had taught at both the junior high and high school levels before becoming the K-12 Director of Mathematics. In addition to supervising the math department, she has been actively involved in curriculum writing for the District and the in-serving of the District’s teachers. Working in the Deer Park School District since 1969, Ms. Razzano has been a dynamic member of the Suffolk County Mathematics Teachers Association, has run the Junior High athletes, chaired both the Outstanding Teacher and the Outstanding Junior Committees, has headed the Student Symposium for the past five years, and currently serves as an adjunct professor at Long Island University, C.W. Post.
