•The Seven Key Factors to a Healthy Mind, Body and Spirit will be presented by Dr. Christopher Hansen Tuesday, April 30, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Learn how to clear your mind from stress and clutter and improve the overall performance of your body. Registration for this free program is underway.

•Senior Advocate Joan Haugen from the Suffolk County Department of the Aging will be at the library Thursday, May 2, 2 to 4 p.m. to assist seniors over the age of 60 with applications for food stamps, Medicaid and more. No appointment needed.

•A performance of Ballet Concierto De Puerto Rico will be presented Saturday, April 27, 8 p.m. at Suffolk Community College, Western Campus, Brentwood. Tickets are $20 per person for this performance of this ballet company with a Latin flair. Call the library for further information.

•A representative from the American Cancer Society will present Breast Health - "Triple Touch," Saturday, April 27, 2 p.m. Discussion includes the importance of mammography, clinical examinations and self-examination. Sign-up is underway.

•Registration is underway for Computer Comfort, class to be held Friday’s, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The fee is $40 per person and is non-refundable. This hands-on course is designed to show what computers can do for you.

•Upcoming children and young adult programs include a class in Soft Metal Graphic Panels Thursday, May 2, 7 p.m. Learn to engrave a design of your choice into soft metal with wooden tools to create beautiful freestanding panels in this free workshop. Registration is underway.

•The Thunderbird Dancers will bring the beauty of traditional Native American culture to the library auditorium, Sunday, April 28, 2 p.m. This free performance also includes wonderful accompanying stories. Registration is underway.

•Create Fabrisage Fabric Flowers Thursdays, May 2 and 9, 6:30 p.m. $10 materials fee required at sign-up. For adults.

•A six week introduction to T’ai Chi’ will be given Tuesdays, May 7 to June 11, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Studies have shown that T’ai Chi’ is ideal for older adults, with its low impact focus on balance, breathing and stress reduction. The cost is $50 and sign-up is underway.
