Historical program coming to Whaling Museum On Sunday, April 28, 2 p.m. the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum will present Tales of a Yankee Whaler. Seats are by general admission. Mystic Seaport’s Dr. Glenn Gordinier, as Josiah Gardener, brings to life through story and song the spirit of seafaring American when the Stars and Stripes circled the globe under billows of white canvas. Dr. Gordinier is a faculty member of the Williams College/Mystic Seaport program of maritime studies. He also teaches a course in museum studies at Connecticut and Trinity Colleges. He has portrayed Josiah Gardener for audiences at Mystic Seaport, Colonial Williamsburg, the Smithsonian Institution and many other sites in the United States and Europe.
