Islip bumper stickers

Islip Town Supervisor Pete McGowan has announced that patriotic bumper stickers are currently available to all Town residents at the Public Information Office, located on the second floor of Town Hall, 655 Main St., Islip.

Any resident interested in obtaining the free bumper sticker, which features the American flag, the Statue of Liberty and the phrase, "The Town of Islip Joins the Nation, God Bless America," may stop by the office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The stickers can be mailed, in the event that a resident is unable to come in person.

"During this time of great national sorrow, it is essential that we come together as a town, a county and as a nation in an effort to recover, rebuild and prevail," said Supervisor McGowan. "These stickers are one way to let terrorists know that they can never win while America stands together."

For information, call the Office of Public Information at 631-224-5485.
