•Registration is underway for the most talked about family workshop of the season. Parents and children have an opportunity to take time out from the holiday rushing and make a Gingerbread House. •On Wednesday, October 25, 7 p.m. Dr. Lancaster from the LI Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy will present Overcoming Panic and Anxiety. Learn how to master your emotions, take control and get back to leading a productive life. Registration is underway.

•The program Feng Shui: The Chinese Philosophy of Colors will be presented Wednesday, October 22, 7 p.m. Presented by Nadine Gross, a certified Feng Shui consultant, this program will explain the basics of the philosophy and how color can affect your life. Registration is underway.

•Joe Masciello of La Mas Computers presents Computer Repairs and Upgrades Monday, October 23, 7 p.m. Find out about basic repairs, upgrades, components, etc. Registration is underway.

•A College Financial Aid Planning Workshop will be presented Monday, October 30, 7 p.m. This program is designed for adults and young adults planning to begin college within two years. Ronald McGarvey, from McGarvey and Company will offer guidance and invaluable suggestions. Registration is underway.

•A free seminar on Fibromyalgia will be presented at the library Tuesday, October 24, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Conducted by Dr. Christopher Hansen, D.C. and registered dietitian Tina-Ann Mirabelli, this seminar includes information on systems and treatment options. Registration is underway.

•Children in grades three to five are invited to make a Halloween craft at the library on Friday, October 27, 4 to 5 p.m. Sign-up for this free workshop is underway.

•Registration is underway for Introduction to the Stockmarket, Monday, October 23, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn straight, understandable explanations about the stock market from buying and selling to terminology and tactics.

•It’s Never to Late; Adults Returning to School will be presented Tuesday, October 24, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. An admissions and enrollment representative from Suffolk County Community College will discuss various ways to earn a high school diploma and attend college. Sign-up is underway.

•On Thursday, October 26, 2 to 4 p.m. Senior Advocate Joan Haugen from the Suffolk County Office for the Aging will visit the library to assist patrons with Medicaid, Senior I.D., cards, food stamps, etc. Registration is not necessary, patrons will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis.

•Friday Afternoon at the movies presents Basil (rated R), October 20, 1 p.m.

•The Internet User’s Group will meet at the library Thursday, October 19, 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, October 20, 10 a.m. to noon. These are informal meetings at which various information is discussed. Registration is not necessary.

•Haunted Movies for Young Adults will be shown Thursday, October 26, 7 p.m. Join the Haunted House cast and Keith J. Crocker, a movie expert and see some great old horror movies in a haunted house setting with snacks and spooky fun. Show seating is limited, call for registration.
